Singaraja, 17 June 2023 – Three student teams from the Informatics Education Study Program (IESP) successfully passed the funding selection for the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa). These three teams have won support to realize innovative projects that focus on developing the potential of society, the environment and digital technology.
The first team, led by the Informatics Engineering Student Association (HMJ TI) with the title “DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY POTENTIAL THROUGH THE CRAFT OF GLASS AND LEATHER PAINTING TO IMPROVE A CULTURE-BASED CREATIVE ECONOMY IN NAGASEPAHA VILLAGE”, will develop community potential through wayang glass painting and skin. They aim to improve the culture-based creative economy in Nagasepaha Village. With guidance from I Gede Mahendra Darmawiguna, S.Kom., M.Sc., they hope to utilize traditional arts to create business opportunities and improve the welfare of the local community.
The second team, consisting of the Technical and Vocational Faculty Working Group (FTK) with the title “MAINTAINING ENVIRONMENTAL HARMONY WITH THE TRI HITA KARANA PHILOSOPHY THROUGH THE MITIGATION AND ADAPTATION-BASED CLIMATE VILLAGE PROGRAM IN BANYUASRI KELURAHAN”, will maintain environmental harmony by implementing the Tri Hita Karana philosophy through the program Climate Village. They will focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation in Banyuasri Village. Their supervisor, Ida Bagus Nyoman Pascima, S.Pd., M.Cs., will assist the team in developing programs that are sustainable and have a positive impact on society and the environment.
The third team came from the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Student Executive Board (BEM) with the title “OPTIMIZATION OF TPS3R BHUANA ASRI BASED ON DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY TO REALIZE PROSPER AND HARMONY SELAT VILLAGE COMMUNITIES”. They will optimize the Waste Treatment Site, Sorting and Sorting Facilities Based on Digital Technology (TPS3R Bhuanasri). This project aims to create a prosperous and harmonious village community in Selat Village. With the guidance of I Gusti Lanang Agung Raditya Putra, S.Pd., M.T., this team hopes to integrate digital technology in waste management and empower the community in the process.
Coordinator of the Informatics Education Study Program, Dr. phil. Dessy Seri Wahyuni, S.Kom., M.Eng., congratulated the three IESP student teams who won the support of the Ormawa PPK. “We are very proud to see the enthusiasm and creativity of IESP students in presenting innovative solutions for society. These projects not only enhance community service, but also combine technology and culture to create a positive impact.”
With funds provided through PPK Ormawa, IESP students will start implementing their projects in the hope of providing significant benefits to the community and the surrounding environment. The hope is that these projects can become inspirational role models for other students to continue to contribute in facing real challenges in society. (an)
