
Singaraja, February 24, 2025 – The Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) held an event titled Deep Learning and Practical Implementation in Informatics Education at the Balingkang Building. The event was attended by second, fourth, and sixth-semester students eager to gain a deeper understanding of artificial intelligence-based learning.
The event featured the main speaker, Prof. Dr. Drs. Putu Sudira, M.P., from the Technology and Vocational Education Study Program, Graduate Program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). In his presentation, he explained the fundamental differences between Deep Learning and Surface Learning and how the TVET Deep Learning concept can be applied in technical and vocational education. Additionally, he discussed various work-based learning models, such as Work Related Learning, Work Oriented Learning, Work Connected Learning, and Work Integrated Learning.
Serving as the moderator, I Nyoman Indhi Wiradika, M.Pd., guided the discussion in an engaging manner, ensuring that the material presented was well understood and interactively discussed by participants. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the implementation of Deep Learning in informatics, particularly in the development of artificial intelligence-based systems.
This event was an important moment for students to deepen their knowledge of technology-based learning approaches and innovation. By gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Deep Learning concept, students are expected to develop skills relevant to industry needs and the workforce in the digital era.
Additionally, this event contributed to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in Quality Education. By encouraging the use of technology in learning, students are expected to contribute to creating innovative solutions that support sustainable educational development.
Starting at 08:00 WITA, the event was met with high enthusiasm and concluded with a Q&A session and in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities of implementing Deep Learning in informatics education. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on students’ academic and professional growth.
