The S1 Informatics Engineering Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) continues to strengthen its commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education towards an international level. One of the strategic efforts is collaborating with Universitas Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) through a Joint Lecture program, supporting the realization of the Tridarma of Higher Education.
This collaboration is established between the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Undiksha and the B.Eng.Tech. Industrial Electronic Program at Universitas Teknologi Mara Malaysia. The Joint Lecturer program was conducted online on Tuesday, April 14, 2025, during the course Students Class: ETC454 Computer Programming, attended by 30 students from UiTM.
As part of the implementation, several lecturers from the S1 Informatics Engineering Study Program at Undiksha participated in teaching during the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Among them was I Gede Bendesa Subawa, collaborating with Mr. Saiful Fadzli Salian from UiTM. The lecture carried the theme “Introduction to Programming: Exploring Its Importance, Opportunities, Challenges, and Career Horizons“.
This joint teaching activity not only enriched students’ learning experiences in a multicultural digital environment but also applied interactive collaborative learning strategies, including educational games to create an enjoyable learning atmosphere. The lecturers received positive feedback, encouraging the continuous improvement of teaching methods by integrating the learning cultures of both countries.
Through this program, it is hoped that students will gain international insights into digital learning environments, enhance their English language skills and communication abilities, and foster appreciation for diverse academic cultures. The Joint Lecture initiative stands as a vital effort in addressing the challenges of education in the Education 4.0 era.
