In order to increase digital activity in Balinese society, especially the younger generation, the Provincial Government of Bali held a Bali DigiFest which took place at Grand Inna Bali Beach, Denpasar, on Friday (8/4), for 3 days. The Bali Digifest agenda is a forum for digital talents from students, entrepreneurs, and the community to develop their best potential.
With the theme “Enabling Bali as Digital Creative Paradise,” Bali Digifest 2022 is filled with four kinds of activities, namely conferences, festivals, exhibitions, and awards. These activities present various content such as startups, games, music, films, animation, creative content, and digital art.
Seeing this opportunity, the Informatics Education Study Programme collaborated with Ganesha Technology Innovation to participate in enlivening the 2022 Bali Digifest event. The Informatics Education Study Programme participated in exhibition activities by displaying the works of Informatics Education students. Their works such as games and virtual reality with Balinese cultural themes. One of the game products displayed is the Game “Calonarang: The Darkness of Dirah”. In addition to displaying games, Informatics Education also displays Balinese Gamelan Virtual Reality products.
By participating in the Bali Digifest 2022, the Coordinator of the Informatics Education Study Programme hopes that Informatics Education is better known to the public. That Informatics Education is not only printed as educators, but also has expertise in information technology engineerings such as designing and developing information systems in the form of desktop applications, web, and mobile, designing and implementing computer network architectures, designing and developing multimedia technology both in the form of 2D or 3D animation, intelligent system development, and other competencies.
