Singaraja – PT Telkom again held the 2022 Innovillage Program which is a sociopreneurship competition in the field of digital technology that is linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Two teams from the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program qualified to become the TOP 150 who received funding.
The Innovillage 2022 program in collaboration with Telkom University (Tel-U) with PT Telkom Indonesia has been completed. Sociopreneurship competition in the field of digital technology, with the aim of inspiring all students throughout Indonesia to help rural communities through applicable digital innovations, by having links with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), so as to create social benefits and measurable economic improvements.
This program was attended by 363 teams from 120 universities in Indonesia. In the selection process, it is determined that the TOP 150 will pass and get funds to run the program that has been designed. Ganesha Education University’s Informatics Engineering Education also takes part in this prestigious program. In Innovillage 2022, two teams from Informatics Engineering Education successfully passed and entered the TOP 150 that received funding.
The first team, I Komang Sasrwa Wiardana, developed the CheckItMom application. The ChekItMom application is an independent screening application for mothers of toddlers so that they can monitor their child’s growth and development independently. This application was developed in collaboration with Informatics Engineering Education and Midwifery D3. “With the cooperation of PTI and Midwifery, the ChekItMom application emerged,” he said (3/10/22).
The second team, I Komang Yuda Muliawan and I Gusti Agung Michael Swisnandya, developed “SIMOBI” which is an IoT-based hydroponic monitoring system. Head of Team I Komang Yuda Muliawan said the product was created because of the many agricultural problems experienced by the community, especially the lack of public knowledge about nutrition in hydroponics. “With SIMOBI products, people no longer need to monitor their hydroponics all the time,” he concluded.
The success of the two PTI teams in being able to penetrate the TOP 150 cannot be separated from the role of supervisors who accompany and direct students in making proposals to products that will be implemented. It is known that the PTI team supervisor was I Gede Bendesa Subawa, S.Pd., M.Kom.
Contacted separately, Bendesa Subawa said that as a lecturer he only directs and assists students to develop their creativity. This innovation activity is also a forum for students and lecturers to serve the community. “The enthusiasm of students to join this program is extraordinary. As a lecturer, I only direct and assist students to always be creative,” he said.
Please note, this program is held in line with the program launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo for digital transformation planning, especially for digital village transformation readiness in the fields of communication, information, education, infrastructure. and provision of internet services.
