Informatics Education Student (Mahapati) on behalf of Ketut Nova Wirya Dinata Joined the Indonesia International IoT Olympiad (I3O) 2022 event organized by Muria Kudus University. Nova won the Bronze Medal. The virtual event took place on May 21-25, 2022, and was attended by 200 teams from 14 countries.
By developing IoT technology for an integrated farming system with the working title Catfish Farming Monitoring System Design oriented to Zero Waste through Biofloc and Technology Collaboration, it is explained that the development of an integrated farming system through IoT-based biofloc and hydroponic ponds is carried out on one land in the Pengjaran Village. In addition, it also takes advantage of the potential of the existing village by cultivating Siamese Pumpkin.
“The use of IoT is usually rarely implemented in a complex manner, but in our product, we try to conceptualize it in such a way that both agriculture, plantation, livestock, and fisheries systems are combined into 1 in one IoT environment,” concluded Nova.
In the future what has been designed from this work can be implemented with the support of several related parties. In addition, the ideas developed can be useful for the community.
“The hope for the next competition is to provide innovative ideas so that they can contribute through ideas that are created and have benefits for a wide audience,” added Nova who is also a sixth-semester student.
Head of Informatics Education Study Programme, Dr. Phil. Dessy Seri Wahyuni, S.Kom., M.Eng. give appreciation for the achievements achieved by Mahapati. The increasing number of outstanding Mahapati can inspire other students to come up with ideas that can be developed to help the community. “Of course, having outstanding PTI students is a way to inspire other students. With the knowledge taught by the lecturers, the hope is that students can develop their creative ideas to help problems that exist in society,” he said. (an)
