Singaraja- The Entrepreneurship Teaching Team of the Informatics Education Study Program (PTI) at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Singaraja, Bali held an experience sharing session entitled “KWU Goes to Gemastik”. This event was held in order to provide students with an understanding of preparation and strategy in participating in a national level business competition, Gemastik (16/6/2023).
This experience sharing session was attended by more than 60 semester 4 PTI Undiksha students who were interested in entrepreneurship. The event was held online through the Google Meet platform and presented three expert speakers in their respective fields. The first guest speaker was Ida Bagus Nyoman Pascima, S.Pd., M.Cs, a lecturer at the PTI Study Program, who explained the flow of the Gemastik competition and provided guidance in making proposals for the competition.
In his sharing session, Pak Pascima explained the stages of the Gemastik competition, starting from registration, proposal selection, presentation, to finalization. He also gives students helpful tips on how to strengthen their proposals and face the jury’s questions with confidence.
The second guest speaker is I Gusti Lanang Agung Raditya Putra, S.Pd., M.T., an entrepreneurship practitioner and also an Information Systems lecturer who has won various awards in business competitions. He shared tips and tricks on how students can successfully pass the Gemastik selection. Pak Lanang provides insight on important aspects that must be considered, such as innovation, competitive advantage, marketing strategy, and strong presentation.
“Gemastik participants must be able to convey their business ideas in a comprehensive and convincing manner. Thorough preparation and good presentation skills will provide a competitive advantage,” Pak Lanang told the participants.
The third speaker was I Ketut Andika Pradnyana, S.Pd., M.Pd, a lecturer in Informatics Engineering Education and one of the lecturers in the entrepreneurship course. He shared insights about business ideas suitable for the Gemastik competition. Mr. Andika gave examples of innovative business ideas that have the potential to get the attention of judges and investors.
In his sharing session, Mr. Andika stressed the importance of understanding the market and business opportunities that are relevant to current trends and needs. He also provides guidance on how to formulate business ideas that are unique and have strong added value.
This sharing session is very valuable for PTI Undiksha students who are interested in participating in Gemastik. They gain practical insights and strategies in preparing themselves for this prestigious national level business competition.
“This sharing session really helped us understand the process and preparations needed to take part in Gemastik. We feel more prepared and motivated to realize our business ideas,” said Gung Mike, one of the PTI students who attended the event.
The PTI Undiksha Entrepreneurship Teaching Team hopes that the “KWU Goes to Gemastik” event will provide encouragement and deeper understanding to PTI Undiksha students in their preparation to take part in the Gemastik competition. With the knowledge and insight they gain, students are expected to be able to produce innovative business ideas and have the potential to be successful in this competition. (an)
