Singaraja – Good news comes from Informatics Education Students (Mahapati), Made Ardi Sudipta & Rizky Asiddiky, and teams as representatives of the Student Executive Board of Engineering and Vocational Faculty (Fakultas Teknik Kejuruan or FTK). This 2022, the team which consists of students from various study programs in FTK has passed the funding selection of the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa). This achievement also supports Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha to gain the 6th rank in the Top 10 Winners of PPK Ormawa 2022 Grant Funding.
The event organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs has carried out a series of stages to improve the quality of student organizations that are filled with community learning as well as practicing community service and empowerment. Through this selection, from 383 proposals that passed the presentation selection, only 328 proposals passed the funding selection.
Two Informatics Education Students who joined the BEM FTK team, namely Made Ardi Sudipta and Rizky Asiddiky. They proposed the title “The Giri Emas Innovation House as a Place for Creativity for the North Bali Coastal Community to Improve the Quality of Human Resources.” Through the Giri Emas Innovation House, they were able to improve the quality of Human Resources. On the other side, this activity also increased digital talent skills for Giri Emas village youth to become creative talents in the digital era.
Made Ardi Sudipta explained that this innovation can optimize the potential of natural resources owned by Giri Emas village such as river mouths, beaches, coral reefs, and marine products. “Empowering the Giri Emas village and increasing community welfare through the creative economy ecosystem is our goal. We also hope that this training program will form a YouTuber Village by providing videography and photography training, digital marketing training, and training on diversification of processed seafood,” explained Ardi.
This program is expected to produce an Innovation House institution and has a structured work programme to improve the quality of human resources into digital talents and form a creative and innovative ecosystem in Giri Emas village. (an)
