On Thursday, April 10, 2025, the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha held a Guest Practitioner Lecture as part of the Didactic Methodic for Informatics Learning course. Carrying the theme “The Tradition of Teaching in the MBKM Curriculum Era,” the event was attended by second, fourth, and sixth semester students.
The event featured educational practitioner Ms. Candra Purnami, S.Pd. from SMKN 2 Seririt, who shared practical experiences in teaching amidst the evolving characteristics of Generation Z students. The material delivered included best practices for adapting teaching strategies to diverse student needs and strengthening pedagogical literacy to prepare students to become professional ICT teachers.
This Practitioner Lecture program was fully supported by the Faculty Leadership to strengthen the link between the academic world and industry, particularly in preparing graduates who are ready to contribute to education at the junior high, senior high, and vocational school levels. This activity also aligns with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 by ensuring inclusive and quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Furthermore, it contributes to SDG 8 by promoting inclusive economic growth and decent work through the preparation of competent and competitive human resources. Additionally, it supports the realization of SDG 17 by fostering partnerships between higher education institutions and industries to enhance the quality of education.
Through this program, the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program remains committed to producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also equipped with practical skills needed to develop a more adaptive and relevant education system in the Merdeka Curriculum Era.
