The Informatics Engineering Education Study Program of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) continues to actively strengthen its international cooperation network through an Industrial Visit, which is part of the 2024 Visiting Professor Program. This event was held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Industrial Training Center for Studio Production and Animation, involving Dr.phil. Dessy Seri Wahyuni and Dr. Erni Marlina as facilitators.
The primary goal of this visit is to initiate a student mobility program between Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia. This program aims to create opportunities for academic and professional exchange for students from both institutions. Additionally, the activity is designed to provide students with direct exposure to an industrial environment, particularly in the field of technology. This experience is intended to equip students with practical insights that can be applied in both academic and professional contexts.
The visit also marks the beginning of future strategic collaborations. One of the planned follow-up actions includes sending students for internship programs in industrial settings. This initiative provides opportunities to enhance students’ involvement in professional fields relevant to their studies.
This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting experiential learning and industrial relevance. Furthermore, this collaborative effort contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, where cooperation between higher education institutions can create a positive impact in producing competent graduates ready to face global challenges.
