Singaraja, Ganesha University of Education – As part of welcoming the new 2023 cohort, the Informatics Engineering Student Association organized the Department Life Orientation (OKJ), now more commonly known as Infinity Orientation Time (IOT). This event took place at the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies Field, Central Campus.
Themed CODING: “Creative Orientation Develop Inspirational New Generation,” this event was attended by 290 students from the four study programs under the Informatics Engineering Department. The goal was to introduce the Informatics Engineering Department to the new students.
On the second day of the OKJ event, Monday, August 21, 2023, the program began with attendance taking of the new students from the Informatics Engineering Department and enforcement of the event rules. The event continued with the opening ceremony, which included a prayer, welcoming speeches, and a report from the head of the OKJ 2023 committee.
Next, the participants attended a sharing session on the MBKM program, alongside students from the Merdeka Student Exchange Program. Afterward, the participants were introduced to each study program within the Informatics Engineering Department. The introductions were led by the program coordinators of each study program.
The introduction to the PTI (Informatics Engineering Education) study program was conducted by the Program Coordinator, Dr. phil. Dessy Seri Wahyuni, S. Kom., M. Eng., who provided information about the curriculum, the scientific vision, and the mission of the PTI study program. The session was attended by all faculty staff and the new students from the Informatics Engineering Department.
This activity aimed to provide new students with a clear understanding of the vision, mission, and academic focus of the study program. By sharing this information, the goal was to help students prepare for their four-year journey in the PTI program.
