Singaraja, 5 July 2023 – The Informatics Engineering Education (PTI) study program under the Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), continues to make brilliant achievements in terms of international accreditation. After successfully obtaining “Conditional Status Accreditation” status, this study program is now heading towards a higher achievement by achieving “Unconditional Status Accreditation”.
To strengthen its position as an internationally accredited study program, PTI carried out a series of academic collaboration activities with two well-known universities in South Korea on June 27 and 28. In this series of activities, International Academic Benchmarking was carried out with a focus on the “Curriculum and Instructional Quality” process and Academic Collaboration.
The two universities visited by PTI representatives were Pukyong National University (PKNU) and Pusan National University (PNU). This event was attended by PTI Study Program Coordinator, Mrs. Dr. Phil., Dessy Seri Wahyuni and Mrs. Prof. Dr. Ketut Agustini, S.Si., M.Si., who also serves as Deputy Dean I FTK. On the PKNU side, Mr. HyunWoo Kim as Provost of International Affairs and Mr. Incheol Shin, Ph.D as Coordinator of the Department of Computer Engineering Information Technology and Convergence. Meanwhile, the PNU was represented by Mr. Jeong, Bong Koo as Director of PNU International and Mr. Kim, Sooho as International Program Team Manager.
The aim of implementing this international program is to gain insight into curriculum implementation, including internationally standardized curriculum implementation methods, in two study programs at PKNU and PNU, namely the “Computer Engineering” and “Education” study programs. Apart from conducting Academic Benchmarking, PTI also offers several international collaboration programs, including General Studium which will be filled by one of the universities, both PKNU and PNU, as well as Joint Teaching in a seminar forum which is planned to be held in the even semester 2022/2023.
It is hoped that this collaboration will provide a more international academic spirit and provide a basis for improving the curriculum to achieve international standards. Through this program, it is hoped that a forum will be created for students and lecturers to learn from each other and share academic knowledge together with PKNU and PNU, as well as towards IRUEL University.
With increasing international accreditation achievements and continuously expanding academic collaboration, PTI confirms its position as an educational institution that focuses on developing quality human resources and international standards. (an)
