Yogjakarta- Another achievement at the international level has been achieved by students of the Undiksha Informatics Education Study Program (Mahapati). This time it came from the “World Youth Invention and Innovation Awards (WYIIA) event which took place at the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta on 22-26 August 2022. The four teams that competed in this competition were: the AR Subak Team chaired by Putu Dimas Pramudita (PTI) with three members: I Gede Engga Suandita (Law Study Program), Komang Cahayani Putri (Accounting), and Ni Luh Putu Divya Jyoti Mahardika (Primary Teacher Education), with a supervisor Dr. Ketut Agustini., S.Si., M.Si. This team brought work in the form of Augmented Reality Subak. “With Subak AR technology, visitors will get information about several museum collections from the narrator with a three-dimensional display via a cell phone after scanning a QR code or barcode,” said Dimas, Friday (26/8/22). This highly innovative work won a gold medal and an IYSA Special Award.
The Safheld team is chaired by I Gusti Nyoman Anton Surya Diputra (PTI) with three members: I Made Deon Virgananta (PTI), Putu Zasya Eka Satya Nugraha (PTI), and Ketut Nova Wirya Dinata (PTI), with supervisor I Ketut Andika Pradnyana, S.Pd., M.Pd. This team presented a work entitled Smart Safety Helmet Detector based on Yolov4- Tiny to Prevent Accident in Construction Area. This innovation is a safety helmet detection system to maintain the safety and security of the heads of construction workers. This work won a silver medal.
The Electro Wand team was chaired by Kadek Wira Adi Saputra (PTI), with members Komang Cahayani Putri (Accounting), Ni Luh Putu Divya Jyoti Mahardika (PGSD). This team presented a work entitled “Electro Wand: An Arduino-Based Learning Practicum Tool for Electromagnetic Wave Detection”. Electro Wand is a learning medium in the form of an Arduino-based practicum tool that is used to detect electromagnetic wave radiation and help students find radiation from electromagnetic waves in the learning process experiment. “Arduino-based practicum tools can help students understand learning materials quickly that are not yet available in Physics subjects and are expected to be able to improve the ability of the psychomotor aspects of these students or students,” explained Wira when confirmed, Friday (26/8/22). Through the work displayed, under the guidance of Ida Bagus Nyoman Pascima, S.Pd., M.Cs. this invention managed to win a bronze medal.
