Gianyar – the Informatics Education Study Program has achieved various achievements, both from academic and non-academic events. Of course, these achievements indicate that all elements of Information Education (Pendidikan Teknik Informatika or PTI) always innovate, be creative and excel in responding to the challenges of increasingly rapid technological development. Many achievements have been made by students from national to international levels, but this time, one of the lecturers of Informatics Education was able to achieve the award.

Many PTI lecturers have achieved awards in the fields of research, service, product development, and other activities. Recently, Dr. I Made Gede Sunarya, S.Kom., M.Cs. contributed an award in the Regional Championship of Aeromodelling and Drone Racing Championship Danlanud I Gusti Ngurah Rai Cup 2022 held by FASI (Federasi Aero Sport Indonesia). The activity was attended by the Chairperson of FASI Bali, Colonel. Pnb Putu Sucahyadi, S.A.P., M.Sc, M.M.S., as well as Gianyar Regent who is represented by the Gianyar Regional Secretary along with several local government officials and other guests. The Regional Championship of Aeromodelling and Drone Racing activities were attended by 65 participants from 3 categories in the competition (source: beritafajartimur).

This activity took place on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Aero Park Keramas Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. At the event, Gede Sunarya won 2nd place in the Touch and Go category.

Gede Sunarya explained that participating in this event was like recreation, education, and sport. “I joined this activity only as a hobby that I often do in my spare time with other lecturers and the Buleleng Aeromodelling (Aerobul) community. Of course, I am grateful for this achievement,” said Sunarya (25/7/22)

He also hopes that his experience can guide students to take part in similar events. “Currently, my students and I are practicing and preparing the team to take part in events following PTI’s fields of science such as KRTI (Indonesian Flying Robot Contest) and Gemastik. I hope I can give the best for Undiksha, especially PTI,” he added.
