The South East Asia Consortium – Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SEA-TVET) is a consortium formed by the education ministries of countries in the Southeast Asia region that aims to increase student and staff exchange activities which include internship programmes and industrial cooperation between countries in the ASEAN region. In this programme, students can take part in internships at universities members of the SEA-TVET consortium including Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam for 1 month (internships on campus or in the partner industry of the university recipient).
Five students of the Informatics Education Study Programme passed the SEA-TVET Virtual Exchange Programme in the Digital Illustration Short Course Programme at Iloilo Science and Technology (ISAT-U), Philippines. The students were Komang Dian Ary Kristiadi, I Putu Andika Putra, Putu Ayu Intan Galby Catriesya, Wayan Agus Aditya Mahendra, and Putu Dewi Agustini. The students who passed are eighth-semester students who are currently compiling a thesis on the topic of illustration and design. This is a glorious thing and an inspiration to Informatics Education students
This programme lasts for 1 month, starting from May 26 to June 23, 2022, and is carried out online. Although it is carried out online, it does not reduce the enthusiasm of students. One of the students who passed this program, Komang Dian Ary Kristiadi, said that she was very enthusiastic about participating in this programme. Besides that, it also added insight, especially in the field of digital illustration, and a great new learning experience. As an addition, my hope in the future after participating in this programme is that I can apply the knowledge I get when I work later,” said Dian when contacted via WhatsApp.
Dian, a student from Bondalem Village, Tejakula, Buleleng, told her plan after joining this programme, which is to become a content creator. “My plan after joining this programme, of course, I have to focus on my thesis first. In addition, in the future, I also plan to become a content creator that contains digital illustrations.”
