PTI brought UNDIKSHA to be “The Best Campus” and a National Top 10 Rank
The Arubalympics 2020 event was conducted online for 10 days, from 5 to 14 August 2020. The PTI (Pendidikan Teknik Informatika – Informatics Education) team representing UNDIKSHA successfully became top ten nationally and became “The Best Campus” out of 350 universities throughout Indonesia that participated in the 2020 Arubalympics event.
The PTI team consisted of two lecturers, on behalf of Gede Saindra Santyadiputra, S.T., M.Cs., and Gede Arna Jude Saskara, S.T., M.T., and four students, on behafl of Putu Agus Wahyu Adi Perdana Giri, Putu Angga Wisesa, I Komang Yoga Saputra, and Putu Zasya Eka Satya Nugraha.
Mr. Gede Saindra Santyadiputra, the team leader, explained that at the event, his team took a series of online tests that took place in succession. The material is about future computer networks, with the theme “The Intelligence Campus Network 4.0”. The test is directly from the Aruba Networks Company, with 25 objective questions with a time limit of 20 minutes. There were nine tests, all done over nine days. The team leader confirmed that he had prepared this for about three days.
It was further stated that this was the first time participating in this event. His side appreciated the Association for Higher Education in Informatics and Computers (Apticom) as the organizer of this national event. Apticom collaborates with Industry, an international company in Computer Networks, ARUBA NETWORKS, and offers competition with an Olympic-style gamification concept so that participants are very excited and enthusiastic to compete.
All the PTI teams also felt proud of the achievements they had made. This is also inseparable from the support of the academic community. This achievement is expected to further raise the name of PTI and Undiksha Study Programs in the national arena. Mr. Saindra, the head of the PTI team, stated that “This achievement is the result of hard work. In this event, UNDIKSHA became “The Best Campus” out of 350 universities in Indonesia that participated. Then, we also represented the province of Bali, getting 6th place with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 18 bronze medals. For the University category, Undiksha is ranked ninth nationally,”
This achievement did not make him immediately satisfied. In the future, there is still a target for ranking increases, even being the overall champion. “We are constantly trying to improve the quality,” explained Mr. Saindra.
Congratulations to the PTI TEAM for achieving an achievement at the Arubalympics 2020.
