Singaraja, 4 June 2023 – Bali Digifest, one of the annual events that serves as a platform for the younger generation to showcase their innovative ideas, is being held again with great enthusiasm. This year, Bali Digifest carries the theme “Accelerating Bali’s Digital Transformation” and holds pre-events in the form of Creative Fun Walks in four districts/cities as well as roadshows to 15 campuses in Bali that already have Business Incubator facilities and/or similar facilities. Furthermore, at the peak event on 2 – 4 June 2023, Bali Digifest II 2023 will be filled with various activities such as conferences/seminars, creative digital competitions, E-Sport competitions, bug bounties, startup innovation showcases in Bali, film screenings, talk shows, and music festivals. .
Informatics Education Study Program (PTI) students took part in a startup pitching competition which was one of the highlights of this event. With burning enthusiasm, PTI students prepared themselves to present their brilliant ideas in front of investors, technology industry professionals, and a panel of judges consisting of leading experts and practitioners in the fields of technology and business.
The startup pitching competition was held at the Ksirarnawa Art Center Denpasar building. PTI students present two creative ideas and the latest technological solutions that can overcome various challenges in various sectors, namely education and MSMEs.
In their presentations, PTI students used a unique and interesting approach to captivate the audience. They combine their technical knowledge with strong business insights, present comprehensive business proposals and intrigue potential investors.
“By participating in this pitching competition, we hope to be able to apply the knowledge and skills we learned during our studies in the real world. We want to be successful entrepreneurs and contribute to building a strong startup ecosystem in Bali,” said Dimas, one of the participants from PTI Undiksha.
The judging panel, which consists of well-known figures in the startup world, acknowledged the quality of the presentations and ideas brought up by the participants. They provide valuable feedback to the participants, helping them to continue growing their startup projects.
This event is also a valuable platform for PTI students to interact with industry professionals and expand their network. They have the opportunity to exchange ideas, gain insights, and build collaborations that might lead them to success in the technology business world.
