A Sustainable Competitive Advantage is very important for the sustainability of the production unit. Because, by having a sustainable competitive advantage, both against competitors and industry, the production unit can improve the quality of services. This quality includes creating innovations. and the formation of a production unit is intended as a learning vehicle for campus residents, especially students for entrepreneurship training. The ultimate goal is to produce entrepreneurs. Therefore, the Informatics Education Study Programme through the Laboratory of Network Intelligence (LANI) held workshops and training on the use of Laser Cutting devices to initiate the creation of production units (25/5/22).
This activity invited resource persons from 3DZaiku Indonesia, namely Mr. Arif Setiawan. The material as well as the practice that is explained is about Introduction to Laser Cutting Machines, Use of Laser Cutting Machines, Product Design, and Making Creative Products with Laser Cutting Machines. The participants of this activity are laboratory assistants and technicians in the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational as well as students of Informatics Education. This activity was also attended by leaders and lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this training, and a lot of new knowledge and skills were obtained. “I am very grateful to be able to take part in this training, to get new experience and knowledge, such as how to operate and make creative products with a laser cutting machine,” said Zazya, one of the training participants.
During the activity, the coordinator of the Laboratory of Network Intelligence (LANI), Dr. I Made Gede Sunarya, S. Kom., M.Cs. assisted participants and students in the training. He explained that this activity was one way of optimizing the use of laboratory equipment at the Laboratory of Network Intelligence (LANI) under the management of the Informatics Education Study Programme. Besides that
“With this training, the creativity of students will be increased. The laboratory assistants and lecturers will also understand the use of laser cutting machines. I hope that after this training there will be a more optimal use of laser cutting machines and the formation of a production unit in FTK under the management of the PTI Study Programme. So, this will continue not only as a production unit but also as education, namely learning for students,” added Made Gede Sunarya. (an)
